Simon Krismer

Principal Engineer
Simon is an expert in maintenance welding, metallurgy, and training. He has a Bachelor of Materials Engineering and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
Prior to founding WQMS in 2019, Simon had 20 years experience providing metallurgy and root cause failure analysis consulting experience to a diverse range of industry sectors. Together with Eddy Constable, Simon founded WQMS to develop first principle based solutions for the challenges that industry faces for structural maintenance of heavy plant and equipment. His mission is to leave a positive legacy that will benefit not just now, but generations to come.

Eddy Constable

Welding Specialist
Eddy is a co-founding Director of WQMS alongside Simon Krismer. Eddy is a welding professional and master welder, having progressively completed an apprenticeship in cert III Engineering & Fabrication as a boilermaker, and later a Cert IV. Eddy has over 18 years of experience as a welding professional with 11 years as a welding Supervisor/Inspector servicing the energy and minerals resource sectors. It was during his time working within an engineering team across two Hunter Valley mines, that he gained deep first-hand knowledge and experience of the challenges associated with asset maintenance, in particular relating to weld repairs and a welder’s ability.
Eddy’s passion for the trade is demonstrated through his ongoing commitment to training welding apprentices to compete in a skills excellence competition called “WorldSkills”.' As a past competitor himself, Eddy attended exclusive training camps and had the opportunity to learn from some of the world's most skilled and prestigious welders. Eddy understands the importance of keeping the learning opportunity alive for future welding trades, by volunteering his time as a mentor and welding coach, running the Hunter Regional WorldSkills Welding Competition and NSW TAFE Skills development camps in preparation for the National WorldSkills competitions as well as a national judge.
